Because of the variety of paths afforded to a Liberal Arts major I had the opportunity to combine multiple interests into my education. Though this path may not look like a traditional path to a traditional career there are many skills I learned that will benefit my future.
I studied communication, journalism, anthropology, as well as teacher prep courses that gave me a distinct advantage in planning and presenting. I had a greater understanding of people, how they were drawn in by stories, and how to get in front of them and sell them on an ideas. Not only have I learned this in school, i have applied it in the real world, and will take full advantage of these skills as I pursue a job in education.
