A journey of unique experiences
As a Liberal Arts student I have focused a large part of my studies on the humanities and social sciences. People have always fascinated me, from sociology to psychology to anthropology classes I have learned a tremendous amount about human nature, development, and habits of people and cultures. These classes not only introduced me to these concepts but also prepared me to engage, impact, and even challenge the ways we see communities and culture. I have practiced these skills both inside and outside the classroom, during a 10 year hiatus from school working in the non profit field. As I return to school and prepare to graduate, pursuing my Master of Education, I am confident my Liberal Arts path has given me an advantage in better understanding the dynamics of students, faculty, and classroom dynamics. This portfolio will act as a road map of creative problem solving, invaluable people skills, and detailed planning and presenting capabilities that I gleaned in my time as a Liberal Arts student.
