I have been afforded an amazing opportunity to explore my many interests while pursuing a higher education. When your obsessed with people, culture, language, the impact of differences on the world and everything in between it is hard to settle into one area. With my Interdisciplinary Liberal Arts degree I not only have a set of well rounded skills I also have a broad base of knowledge to pull from to add to any future job.
I am not only a soon to be college graduate I am also seasoned non-profit veteran. In a season where a job ranked over a degree I was able to put my skills to the test. I walked away from college career to focus on building stability for my son in a small, but growing non-profit. I worked with community members needing assistance, volunteers looking to give back, not to mention businesses and church partners needing an outlet of generosity. Everyday I sharpened the skills I have built over a lifetime.
As proud as I am of my degree and of my first career path, I take pride in the character my path has created. In every season I have walked through I have been blessed to come out on the other side stronger, smarter, and more well rounded than the last. I have an independent drive, a selfless attitude, and a desire to be a life long learner.
